Time flies......

I can’t believe we have been open over one month already, it’s been a blast and a fantastic start to business, so thank you to every single person who has walked through the door and been so supportive to Ellis, Joanne and myself, we really appreciate it. Also a huge thank you for the many gifts/flowers and card with lovely words in, I was so touched by everyone’s messages.
HEN DO, ALERT…..
I had one of my best friends hen parties in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago and naturally I was a bit anxious about leaving the girls for the first time as we haven’t been open long, anyway they were totally confident in opening and closing the salon/working the alarm/turning wax pots on/off, it was TOTALLY fine…….Until Friday evening at 6pm came and the girls locked up themselves for the first time, they got outside and hadn’t put the doormat in, so they panicked opened the door again and threw the mat inside….phew that’s over…..NOT! My phone has started flashing up ‘BURGLER ALERT’ in Barcelona, so I went onto the CCTV on my phone to see everything was ok and could see Ellis and Jo stood hovering outside not knowing what to do, I couldn’t breathe for laughing 😂 but I called the girls and everything was perfect they just had just opened the door as the alarm timer had timed out. We couldn't have wrote it (until now) it was very funny, but thanks girls for holding the fort. xxx
ANNUAL GALA……
The famous Penicuik Hunter and Lass took place last week and it’s always great fun and nice to see the town coming together, we had local clients in on the Wednesday evening when the pram race was on so we were able to close the shop for 10minutes and show our support. We also came second place for the best window display which we were thrilled about, all credit has to go to my Mum for making all the tissue paper flowers and bunting, they looked amazing and tied in very well with our flower theme and also the Hunter and Lass colours. Maybe next year I can convince the girls to take part in the pram race……watch this space hehe!
FIT FOR A PRINCESS….
We had our first party after only a couple of weeks of been open which was a huge success for little Elsie Beau’s birthday, she had 8 friends and they all had a mini makeover, junior gel nails and tried on all of our Disney princess outfits and swapped with each other. The girls had such a great time, perfect way to spend a Sunday.
GUILD NEWS…..
For those not in the beauty industry this is like a BIG beauty magazine, filled with everything therapists need to know from new products to training courses…..kind of a big deal, so we were thrilled to see that Heaven Skincare, the skincare company that we use were on the front cover!! Fantastic for Heaven and lovely to see the products and treatments being recognised for how good they are, as I spent so much time researching what would be best for our clients yet still affordable….well done Heaven Skincare.
